We usually pay nothing extra for parking. The cost is $37 per day if you don't move the car and $43 a day if it is moved. You can pay at the hotel during checkout. The parking is in a parking garage next door not owned by the hotel. Price of rooms were within range of our budget, but we have to mention the extra costs of parking if you are here with a vehicle. Our breakfast was included in the lobby with a selection of Cereal's, Egg Omelets, Small waffles, tea, coffee, and juices. Everything was clean and the maid was friendly and helpful. The bed, was comfortable and bathroom was a shower no tub. The clerks were friendly and our room was a Queen with full kitchen. Our check-in was a little rocky but we finally received our room after a 40 minute wait. City Hall is 2 blocks west the Liberty Bell & historic areas are about 7 blocks to the east.įor a mid-range Hilton hotel, it surprisingly exceeded our expectations. This Home2 Suites Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Philadelphia Convention Center and The Reading Terminal Market. It is literally across the street from some of the main entrances used for the Convention Center, and across the street from Reading Terminal Market as well. Other than the staff of 2 being overwhelmed one morning by a large group getting breakfast, they do their best at keeping everything well stocked.įor anyone attending a function at the Convention Center, the location can't be beat. The eating area was quite large, roomy and inviting, with an assortment of eating areas, including a long buffet table with retractable outlets, along with high tops, low tops, and normal table options. In this location, there was 6 cereals available, 2 microwave hot entrees available (breakfast sandwich with whole grain bun & either scrambled eggs or burrito option), mini-waffles, oatmeal, and other assorted commonly-found breakfast items. There was a narrow foot or less of room to squeeze between the bed and the window unit (and we're talking an area that tends to be tight in many rooms to begin with). The only issue I encountered was it appears the bed location was designed with a smaller HVAC window unit in mind. Most standard rooms appear to either have a King Sized bed & pull out sofa or 2 beds. The door is a pocket door which saves on space, although the handle (if you want to call it that) is a bit clumsy and small for the size of the door. The bathroom shower is an oversized stall no tubs. The in-room coffee is a single cup K-cup machine. Full sized dishwashers are included as well. Some cooking and kitchen items are in the room you can also go to the front desk for some additional supplies. The room has a full-sized microwave above the kitchen sink, and a nearly-full sized fridge & freezer, with a toaster tucked away in a draw. There's a nice oval-shaped table that tucks under a counter when not needed, but can easily be wheeled nearly anywhere in the room. The Home2 is relatively unknown, with only about 60 locations or so, and doesn't get talked about too often on these forums. This past weekend, my wife & I stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton, which is at 12th & Arch, right at the PA Convention Center & Reading Terminal Market.
